The work is like a study on the material essence of sound, strongly linked to an exploration of the materials the musical instruments themselves are made of. The primordial aspect of matter, free from the need of an external subject, marks the expressivity of the form. The treatment of the texture, unrefined and abstract, surpasses the truly figurative aspect, trying to evoke rather than tell, mapping out a broad formal arch through the gradual metamorphosis of the opening musical ideas. Shreds and tatters delineate a wounded landscape, metaphor for a fragmented reality, destined to crumble. A faint memory moves through the tangle to capture the intimate relation between all the parts, like a horizon of fixity that emerges from an inner space.
